Whirlpools Waves and Forest, 2005
24" x 36" oil, sand, plaster and charcoal on canvas

Another recent abstract, I was missing the forest and immensity of the trees that I grew up with. A very textured piece: it is too bad
that you cannot feel it through the screen. The red is very rough, almost like sandpaper, with only subtle brush strokes,
while the white has circular swirls, resembling burnished aluminum. The black line images are both paint and charcoal;
the grey swatches are plaster.
