The abstract background of this figure painting takes on more of an interactive role with the subject,
complementing each other nicely. The exaggerated bumps and harsh angles of the line drawing indicates our perceptual bias towards
change and anomaly. When forced to act before thinking, the eye and the hand may miss proportion compared to the camera, but they
see much more - every small turn, fold and ridge becomes as important as the overall shape.
